WOW, has it really been that long since I posted on our blogspot, shame on me. I don't seem to be able to get the knack of blogging, I'm open to any suggestions from our readers or for that matter help!
We certainly hope everyone is having a good start to the 2013 year, the weather has certainly been a topic of conversation. Temperatures in the 60's in February has caused several plants and flowers to start budding out let alone give us 'Spring Fever'. We keep reminding ourselves it is February and we don't recall a year that we have not had frost in the month of April.
Want to let our readers know that we have 2013 CSA Shares available. We are offering a 20 week season this year, first delivery starting May 15th, shares are Full, Half and Bi-Weekly Half Shares again this year. Instead of you taking a full season risk with us we've decided the additional 4 week "Fall Option" will be available depending on weather for the month of October, we will make that decision in August when we begin to plant fall crops. Applications and pricing available on our website, payment arrangements are available by contacting us.
We currently have pick up locations at the East Nashville Market on Wednesday afternoons, Our Farm on Thursdays after 5pm and Fridays after 5pm, Saturdays we have pick up at the Franklin Farmers Market from 8-1pm. We are also offering delivery service in the Murfreesboro/Rutherford County area on Fridays and a pick up location at the Stones River Locally Grown location on Wednesday evenings. We have made arrangements with Pa Bunks for a pick up point probably on Fridays.
We've been busy this winter removing some old buildings on the farm to have more ground available for crops. We eventually will have a high tunnel installed but this season we are going to use low tunnels to start spring crops under.
